I have been going to this place for countless years (10) and they do an outstanding job. The food is very good and the staff makes sure you are taken care of. From time to time the owner will come out and talk to you about anything. At one point I saw the owner give a man a free meal because he didn't have any money.

Got some tacos to go and they were excellent! I ordered the huevos a la Mexicana, huevos con chorizo, and the migas on corn. Generous eggs, great chorizo, and the Mexicana is a must-order taco. Restaurant was clean. Staff was friendly. Definitely want to go back to try some of the plates. The menu looks fantastic. Their salsa and green sauce are both also very good. The chips were super fresh and not paper thin. Nice little mom and pop shop to support in south Austin!

We were running some errands on a Saturday morning and decided to pop into Taco Aranda in Manchaca. We decided to get our food to go and unfortunately we had quite a long wait. It wouldn't have been so bad except that there's really not much room in the waiting area. The place is pretty small inside and there really is no place for all the people waiting. They had a consistent line to order food the whole time we were there so it's obviously a very popular place but it would probably be a much better idea to call in your order or eat at the restaurant. We got the three tacos special and a migas plate. My favorite was the potatoes, but overall the food was pretty flavorful. I would definitely eat there again!

Always solid Mexican food. My go to is the chicken fajita burrito. What really makes me love this spot is the customer services. I used to work nights, and after working nightshift I craved dinner food at 8AM. Taco Aranda has always been willing to make me a fresh chicken fajita burrito at 8AM, no questions asked. Without a doubt the best people and awesome food. The spicy green salsa is the best!

When it comes to meeting my father for a lunch or breakfast date, he always picks this place. It's his absolute favorite and I don't blame him. Fair prices and the food is good. He's obsessed with the menudo while I usually order shrimp cocktail or breakfast tacos. The salsa and chips are delicious too & we all know the salsa is how we're really judging Mexican restaurants. The owner is super friendly and always comes by to chat with us. Def a go to for my family.

Stopped by for lunch and what a delight! Live music starts at 11:00 am every Friday we were told. Authentic Mexican food, great and friendly service. The Singer came to our table and serenaded us with Jail House Rock and New York New York. Stop by for a great start to your weekend!

Love this place! Checks all the boxes for me, in terms of a good TexMex inch joint: framed pic of Selena, free chips& salsa, Mexican Cokes in the fridge, loads of iceberg lettuce, tasty specials, long-term waitstaff, and it is full of construction workers every lunchtime. All signs that the food is going to be great, cheap,& plentiful. It's cheerful, friendly, and unpretentious. It even has a drive thru! Old Austin in the best ways. I almost always get the chilaquiles with verde sauce and scrambled eggs (they do breakfast all day, which I love) while I encourage whoever I'm eating with to try a special. I've never had a bad report about this place.
